Were did the leaders go!

I've been reading alot of business and social themed magazines and newsletters that focused their attention towards leadership skills. It seems over all good leadership is based on someone ability to influence change in an already organized climate or mindset. i believe this is not necessarily correct or accurate. A dictator has some of this characterisitics but isn't considered a great leader. A great leader is considered a honorable when he/she sets an great example for their peers and followers. They just don't assign work but participate in at well.

In todays business world is seems the role of leader is based on how well the person can keep a company running without being caught, cutting corners. It seems mankind has put a price tag on leadership quality. Companies are know looking for individuals who have charisma and pretty teeth rather than someone who has a vision for making progress towards future ventures. These boards that elect these leader need to revamp their strategy towards picking their next big CEO portrait. Don't get me wrong many company's have not fallen short selecting a leader that believes in team work and customer service. Their are just to many scandals in coroprate America that coming to lite that hurting the image of this country.

Maybe I'm just speaking to the computer in front of me, but sometimes it's hard to buy goods and services from a company who CEO or Accounting department just caused people their job because they wanted to give the stock market a nice quarterly repeort.
Well time will tell how things will play out, meanwhile to stay busy i'll look at that realestate bubble.
