Identity Theft

Well, its another cold day in NewYork, and once again I'm a victim of identity theft. Your right, thats what I said, Identity Theft. I just passed a guy on the street wearing the same outfit as me. Who would of thought the average NewYork male would decide to wear a baseball cap with a wool trench coat, or the same day i did. It may seem small you some people, but a growing number of people are experiencing this kind of theft everyday. The local train rider, who just so happens to notice the person standing in front of them is wearing the same outfit they have on, and tends to look better in it. Oh, the pain. To make matters worse, you both get off the same stop.

So, i say to the victims of identity theft, don't be discourage. Keep trying to create your own fashion sense. Sooner or later, you'll one day walk the street of New York untouched by the identity bug, and leave behind you curious minds.

Exposure

Walking around the city, i find myself exposed to many systems and groups. Everyday theirs a new trend running the street. When you think your fitting in, your style of life is yesterdays news. Poor shopper, you just brought a 400 dollar pair of Prada shoes, only to find out that the value fell to zero once they hit outside the department store. The world stares at your designer bag and wonder whether or not you maxed out your credit card for your purchase. They giggle and point as imagine your wearing your shoes with an outfit not worthy of your shoes. Man, it seems like this happens all the time. People take their hard earned cash and blow it on designer wear that often does more damage than good. A majority of this nations wealth doesn't even wear most of these clothes. Their busy in DSW hiding shoes until they go on sale. What a country! Even though I'm successful and can afford at time luxuary items. I still find joy in turning nothing into something.
I guess all this exposue to these clothing ads leaves me paralyzed, when it comes to selecting what i'll wear to tomorrow that someone hasn't already worn today.
To make a long story short, is it me or does everyone dress the same these days. 1920's here we come!
